Safe Trailering Practices

Is your trailer safe and do you know what your horse experiences during a collision? What are the protocols, your responsibilities and liabilities when involved in an accident and laws around hauling? Do you know if the size and layout of your trailer provides your horse comfort and stability or if is putting strain on their body, leading to potential injury? Join us for a hands on day of learning how to keep your horse as safe as possible and be prepared for the unthinkable.

Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness

This is a must for any livestock owner. Through this course, we will train you in preparing for fire prevention, planning for and executing safe evacuation procedures, avoiding hidden dangers and responding to first aid emergencies. At the end of the session, you will be fully equipped to face natural disasters such as flooding, wildfires and more.

First Aid Fundamentals

This is a half-day clinic that covers the fundamentals of first aid. You will be working hands-on with horses while learning how to recognize pain, learn how to apply a bandage, take vital signs and detect colic in realistic scenarios. All attendees will receive a first aid reference booklet.

I Can Help​

Have a youngster who is crazy for horses? Sign them up for this 3-hour kids program. They will learn horse safety and basic first aid in a fun and hands-on environment. There is even a recipe for horse cookies in the manual. This course is geared for children ages 5-10 years old.​

Canine Health & Emergency First Aid​ 

We, at Canine Health Canada, are dedicated to providing you with the right tools to help your dog in any emergency. We offer the most comprehensive hands-on canine health and emergency first aid training programs in Canada. Training is done using live dogs, dummy dogs, and following a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation. You also take home a 130+ page canine emergency first aid book, your CPR Certified card, and a frame-able certificate of completion. All adult courses are eligible for CEU Credits with the IAABC

Your Course Being Taught by a Currently Certified EHC Instructor?

Only EHC instructors are properly trained under the strict EHC protocols and kept up-to-date with changes to methodology and technology as laid out by veterinarians from the Board of Advisors. Only licensed instructors are covered under appropriate liability insurance.
